Please let us start by saying thank you for five wonderful years. The
entire team at Excelsior has enjoyed having you as our guests. Today we
announce that Excelsior is closed and will be re-opening as a new
restaurant in the fall of this year.
Himmel Hospitality Group opened Excelsior in 2003 to rave reviews and
national honors, and was most recently noted as being one of “Boston’s
Top 50 Restaurants” by Boston Magazine in 2009. Excelsior was the right
concept for us in 2003 and we’re proud of what our team accomplished.
The new restaurant will be more casual than Excelsior, while maintaining
the highest level of food, wine and service. Several dining options will be
offered; from casual supper and drink at the bar to a full dinner menu on
both the first and second floors.
